Explain the first time prophet muhammed saw did public dawah for the first time
or three years, Rasulullah ﷺ invited people to Islam privately, and many slowly accepted the message. After this period, Allah instructed him through revelation to begin openly proclaiming Islam. Verses were revealed commanding him to publicly declare the message, warn his close relatives, and clearly state that he was an open warner. In response, Rasulullah ﷺ went to Mount Safa and called the tribes together. When they gathered, he asked:
👉 “If I caution you about an invading army on the other side of this mountain that is about to attack you, would you believe me?”
They replied:
👉 “Surely, why not! We have only known you to be honest and truthful.”
He then said:
👉 “I am warning you about a severe punishment that may befall you (if you do not accept my message from Allah Ta’ala).”
Abu Lahab responded:
👉 “Woe unto you. May you perish. Did you assemble us here for this reason only?”
After this incident, Surah Tabbat Yadaa Abi Lahab was revealed concerning Abu Lahab.
