What is an ordinance?
Everyone has access to God's power on earth through his priesthood. Regarless of directly holding the preisthood. Those that hold the priesthood can bless the lives of others by worthily using this power to bless, heal, or perform preisthood ordinances.
Who has access to the priesthood?
These are instructions from a loving Heavenly Father to help us become more like Him.
What are commandments?
The Book of Morman describes the following attribute in Moroni 7:45 "...suffereth long, and is kind, and envieth not, and is not puffed up, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil, and rejoiceth not in iniquity but rejoiceth in the truth, beareth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things."
What is charity?
My testimony does not depend on the tetimonies of others. I seek for my own spiritual experiences through praying daily, studying the scriptures, and exercising faith in Jesus Christ. I turn to Heavenly Father to resolve my own problems. I am able to strengthen others.
What is spiritual self-reliance?
A two-way promise between Heavenly Father and his child/children.
What is a covenant?
Youth with in a family can share their personal goals, offer help with other family members personal goals, willingly participate in family prayer and family scripture study.
How can youth support their families in family councils?
Following the instructions given by Heavenly Father; helps us understand God's will for us, show are love for God by following them, and will help useventually receive of God's fulness.
Why are the commandments important to us?
The Lord has called you to his work, and He invites you to follow Him. In Preach My Gospel it tells of an individual which emulates the following characteristics and requests for you to set goals to become more like Him: faith, hope, charity and love, virtue, knowledge, patience, humility, diligence, along with obedience.
What are the attributes of Jesus Christ?
I am a wise steward over the resources Heavenly Father has blessed me with. I work hard to obtain the finacial resources needed to provide for myself (and family). I pay tithes and offerings, avoid unnecessary debt, budget, and live within my means.
What is financial self-reliance?
Baptism, partaking of the sacrament, temple sealing
What are examples of sacred ordinances?
Writing in a journal, digital photography, blogging, scrapbooking, voice recordings.
What are examples of keeping a personal record/history?
The booklet outlining the standards of the church to help all youth worldwide make important choices now and in the future. Youth that follow these standards are blessed with the companionship of the Holy Ghost, a stronger testimony, and an increase in happiness.
What is For the Strength of Youth?
Jesus Christ is the best example of teaching. He used the books containing a collection of stories from history to teach His gospel. Latter-day prophets have instructed us that there is no substitute for these.To teach from these books we must study them for ourselves. Then we can share these historical stories and examples and help those we teach liken the examples to themselves.
What are the scriptures role in teaching?
I can plan carefully to better myself and achieve self-reliance. This action requires more than wishing or dreaming. I must plan, act, and then work hard to make it so.

This important document explains to us the importance of Heavenly Father's plan for us and our role within a family.
What is The Family: A Proclamation to the World?
A book that is designed as a companion to help study the scriptures and the teachings of latter-day prophets. This helps to build a stronger foundation in your life which increases making wise choices and living in harmony with God's will for you.
What is True to the Faith?
In Moroni 10:32 an invitation is extended:"...be perfected in him, and deny yourselves of all ungodliness; and if ye shall deny yourselves of all ungodliness, and love God with all your might, mind and strength, then is his grace sufficient for you, that by his grace ye may be perfect in Christ; and if by the grace of God ye are perfect in Christ, ye can in nowise deny the power of God."
What does it mean to Come unto Christ?
In 2 Nephi 2:11 it says: "For it must needs be, that there is an _____ in all things. If not so, my firstborn in the wilderness, righteousness could not be brougth to pass, neither wickedness, neither holiness nor misery, neither good nor bad. Wherefore, all things must needs be a compound in one; wherefore, if it should be one body it must needs remain as dead, having no life neither death, nor corruption nor incorruption, happiness nor misery, neither sense nor insensibity."
What is the purpose of opposition?
During His earthly ministry, the Savior often taught in parables to represent eternal truths symbolically. He has directed that we be taught in a similar way in the temple. There is symbolism in the temple ordinances and covenants, their presentation, the physical setting, and the clothing worn. If you ponder the meaning of these symbols with the guidance of the Holy Ghost, they can help you recognize truth, learn about Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ, and grow spiritually.
Why is symbolism used in the temple?
Heavenly Father's plan of happiness enables family relationships to continue throughout eternity. Through family history work, we can learn more about our ancestors, identify and prepare the names of those who need gospel ordinances, and perform ordinance work for them in holy temples. The Church provides many resources to help us learn about our family history and participate in temple work for the dead.
Why is it important to learn about my family history?
The Lord said made promises for following his commandments: "if you keep my commandments and endure to the end you shall have eternal life, which gift is the greatest of all the gifts of God" (D&C 14:7).
"I the Lord am bound when ye do what I say; but when ye do not what I say, ye have no promise" (D&C 82:10).
What are the blessings of obedience?
In gospel learning, as in all things, Jesus Christ is our perfect example. Because He was perfectly obedient and submissive to His Father, He "increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man." Just as the Savior received "grace for "grace", we must patiently seek light and knowledge from God in our efforts to learn the gospel.
Who is our perfect example?
In D&C 100: 5-8 the Lord said, lift up your voice, I will give you the words you need to speak. I promise that if you do these things the "the Holy Ghost shall be shed forth in bearing record unto all things whatsoever ye shall say."
