Christ came to be baptized by one of his creatures and he was baptized the baptism of repentance even though he did not need to repent.

John the baptist told Jesus that he should be baptized by Jesus but Jesus insisted that John the Baptist baptize him.

Jesus 

He gave thanks as he was surrounded by thousands of hungry people and multiplied the food.

He gave thanks to God for hearing his prayer for the raising of Lazarus--before Lazarus rose from the grave.

He knew the cross was before him and gave thanks to the Father as he broke bread and drank the cup with the disciples.

We should be respectful the first thing we should always do is pray.

Christ was facing the west while hanging on the cross. We meet him when we look to the east.
