ayahs 1-5
وَٱلضُّحَىٰ
By the morning sunlight,
يَتِيمًۭا
an orphan
وَٱلَّيْلِ إِذَا سَجَىٰ
And by the night when it is quiet
أَلَمْ يَجِدْكَ يَتِيمًۭا فَـَٔاوَىٰ
When the Prophet ﷺ was a little boy with no parents, Allah took care of him and made sure he was safe and loved.
مَا وَدَّعَكَ رَبُّكَ وَمَا قَلَىٰ
Allah has not left you/abandoned you or dislike you.
وَوَجَدَكَ ضَآلًّۭا فَهَدَىٰ
Before Allah sent the message of Islam, the Prophet ﷺ didn’t know about it. Then Allah guided him and taught him the truth.
وَلَلْـَٔاخِرَةُ خَيْرٌۭ لَّكَ مِنَ ٱلْأُولَىٰ
The life after this one (in Jannah) will be so much better than the world we live in now.
وَوَجَدَكَ عَآئِلًۭا فَأَغْنَىٰ
Allah helps us when in need, Allah SWT helped the Prophet ﷺ when he didn’t have much and gave him enough so he was better.
وَلَسَوْفَ يُعْطِيكَ رَبُّكَ فَتَرْضَىٰٓ
Allah will bless you with many good things until you are very happy.
فَأَمَّا ٱلْيَتِيمَ فَلَا تَقْهَرْ
Be kind to orphans: the children who don’t have parents, just like Allah cared for you Prophet Mohammed.
