Smart-growth is all about building homes in close proximity to businesses, schools, and stores. The goal is to create less pollution. Slow-growth cities grow slowly so that the city can better manage its resources, poor population, industry, etc. Both aim at developing in a sustainable manner.

If people in LDCs avoid child labor, GMOs, and promote fair wages, while also assuring sustainable agriculture will be used, then they will receive money from fair trade products purchased by consumers in MDCs. They must use this money on furthering their development.
