Generally speaking, everything in our kitchen should be okay! Our bigger items like our baking pans + cutting boards may not fit; we will have to wash them by hand.

Big green or small beige compost bins!
Can you open the freezer multiple times in a row? Please explain why.
No because every time the freezer is opened, it needs to make sure it goes back to it's expected temp, otherwise the food inside can be affected; it will be locked for about a minute or two, and then you should be able to open it again!
What temperature should you freeze foods at?
18C or lower
What should you keep nearby to smother flames in the event of a fire?
A pot cover/lid
What do you do with your equipment after it has been cleaned and dried?
Put them away in their respective cabinets
Can glass be disposed in the same bin as garbage?
No, it needs to be put in the blue bin next to the large van in the garage (ask your programmer).
What do people usually check if they are unsure if an ingredient or food item is still okay to use?
The expiry and best before?
What temperature is the danger zone between and why do we try to avoid being in that zone?
Danger zone is between 4C and 60C. The danger zone is where bacteria can grown quickly and cause illness which we dont want!!!

Why should you NOT crowd the dishwasher?
They will not clean properly
Should empty plastics and containers be thrown out in the garbage bin?
No, they should be rinsed and recycled in the plastics and containers bin (that should also be labeled)
Is there a difference between the best before date and expiry? If so, what is it?
Best before dates tell you when an unopened product will be at its peak quality and flavour but it is still safe to eat afterwards (with your own judgement).
Expiry dates represent the final date a product is safe to consume (for health/safety or nutritional reasons!).
