If a Flight Attendant has Airport Standby on their schedule and a trip assignment the same day, do they need to check in for their Airport Standby?
Yes. Airport Standbys must check in for their reserve assignment even if they have a trip assigned later in the day.
Scenario: You are based in MDW. You listed to fly on American Airlines to ORD and Alaska Airlines to MDW. Are you covered by the Commuter policy if you do not make it on either flights?
No, commuter policy only covers when flying into a base.
This type of coverage is not included under the regular Plan, even though doctor visits, hospital stays, and lab work are covered.

Does it count as an occurrence if you used a PIN (Personal Illness note) or Doctor’s note to remove the points for your sick calls?
Yes, it counts as an occurrence. Using a PIN or Doctor‘s note to remove points does not remove the occurrence.
Can a deadheading (DH) flight attendant board the aircraft before the entire working crew has arrived onboard?
No, this would be a minimum crew violation.
You have some time between your reserve shifts to go home. Will you be covered by the commuting policy if you leave to go home during your 3-day block of reserve?
No, the commuting policy only applies to the start of a block or trip assignment.
These begin on the first paycheck after you enroll in benefits, and are backdated to the 1st or the 16th of your month hired (depending on your hire date)

No, access to the PreCheck line is allowed only if you hold Global Entry or were randomly selected at KCM.
