Are you allowed to turn in work late?
No. If you do not turn in your work on time, you will not receive points.
Are you allowed to use any form of AI in Mrs. Bargerstock's class?
No.
I am sick and stay home from school. What should I do about my work?
You do not need to email me. Rest, and I will get you your work when you return.
Am I allowed to purposely destroy anything in the classroom?
No. I will write a referral for destruction of property.
If you get three warnings, what happens?
Mrs. Bargerstock calls or emails home. More serious issues result in a referral outside of the warning system.
When are grades due each week for eligibility for activities?
Thursdays. If you are failing 2 classes at the end of the day on Thursday, you will be ineligible for the following week.
Are you allowed to use Grammarly to help you make your paper's better?
NO. Delete it from your computer. Grammarly is AI.
When I return the day after being sick, what do I do?
See Mrs. Bargerstock to get my work. If you missed one day, you have until the day after returning to complete the work. You are expected to keep up with current classwork as well. (If you miss Monday and there is a test Wednesday, you are expected to still take the test Wednesday.)

If your actions interfere with learning, hurt someone’s feelings, or prevent you from being your best self, you should not be doing it.
What 6 things must you have for class every day?
Does Mrs. Bargerstock think everyone should earn an "A" in all their classes?
No. I do not expect everyone to be an “A” student. I base my expectation on what you are capable of. If you have less than a 65%, you will be required to meet with me during AI to create a plan to raise your grade.
I wrote my paper and got an A. I now have to make a presentation. I used one of the presentation-making sites that will take my paper and turn it into a presentation. Is this okay?
NO. This is using AI to make your presentation. You may use digital design templates with colors and images already present, but you must write your own content on the presetation.
I am going on a field trip. What should I do?
Email all of my teachers at least one week prior to the field trip to request my work and tell my teachers when I will be missing school. My teachers will then collect my work to give to me prior to the field trip. You are expected to have the work done the day you return. For my class, if it is not done the day you return, you will receive zeros for all missed work.
Does Mrs. Bargerstock answer her email in the evenings or on weekends?
No, I will not answer any emails outside of my working hours.
I finshed my work early. What am I allowed to do?
1) Read quietly
2) Complete an early finisher activity.
3) Work on homework/study for another class but it cannot be on the computer.
Who is responsible for your ELA grade?
You. I assign grades based on the scoring guidelines and the work you submit. If you put no effort into your work, do not expect to earn good grades.
I used AI and Mrs. Bargerstock caught me. How did she do this?
I have an extension that allows me to see every keystroke you make. I am able to download the report and send a video of you writing your paper to your parent(s)/guardian(s).
I am going on a vacation. What do I do?

I need supplies to complete an assignment. Where are they?
In the toolbox in the front of the room. Return items in the same condition they were borrowed in. I purchase all the supplies with my own money to save your parents from having to purchase them. If you abuse my items, I will contact home, and you will be responsible for buying your own items and bringing them to and from class. You are not to take items from Mrs. Bargerstock's desk unless instructed to do so.
1) See if the light is on.
2) If the light is on, wait until it is off. (Unless you have an emergency.)
3) If the light is off, make a Minga pass.
4) Turn my computer to face the front of the room.
5) Press the light and leave the room with the door propped open.
6) When I return, click the light back off and end your Minga pass.
I am failing or missing a bunch of assignments. What happens?
You will also be responsible for communicating about your grade with your parents/ guardians. If your grade is below a 65% or you are missing assignments, you will meet with me to write an email home about your grade and missing work.
You will receive a referral. You will handwrite your essays for the rest of the year and have to make your presentations on poster boards.
What is the homework policy?
There will be homework. This includes reading, finishing unfinished work from class time, assigned worksheets, etc. If you do not have internet access, please let me know so I can ensure you have paper copies.
I need to meet with Mrs. Bargerstock during AI for help on an assignment. How do I request this?
There is an AI meeting link on the "Quick Links" section on Google Classroom. You can sign up to come down here. You must list why you want to come. It will send me an email with your request. I will then send a Minga pass to you to show your teacher. Do not email me a general request to come down. If you do not sign up with this link, you will not be able to come down. I can only have 4 people request to come per AI period. I am unavailable on Tuesdays and Thursdays as I have club meetings. If you are in my AI period, you do not need to use this.
