What is the name of your major?

This certification is the starting point for a career in IT. The performance-based exams certify foundational IT skills across a variety of devices and operating systems.
What is the A+ certification?

Students are responsible for knowing the contents as well as adherence to the policies stated in these documents.

Additional resources are available through the Internet for any topic that we may discuss. The Library has a variety of reference materials at your disposal and the Learning Lab has computers that you may use to complete any assignments.

Do not do this in the classroom, during class time or during breaks. Any student found doing this in class will be told to leave and will be marked absent. Any student found doing this in class will have to meet with the instructor before returning to class.

The certification certifies the essential skills needed to confidently design, configure, manage and troubleshoot any wired and wireless devices.
What is the Network+ certification?

Lectures will consist of stand-up instruction. We will discuss a topic, perform practice problems, and have open discussion on the topic. The labs will consist of performing tasks, or exercises assigned by the instructor.

It is designed to give students advanced-level technical competency of server issues and technology, including installation, configuration, upgrading, maintenance, environment, troubleshooting and disaster recovery.

The primary means of communication to students from the instructors. These two forms of communication must be checked daily.

There will be chapter tests, laboratory and in-class assignments, and midterm and final examinations. Tests/Examinations consist of fill in the blank, matching, true/false, essay, completion, and interpretation of drawings, in any combination and hand-on projects. Grades are based on performance on the chapter tests, laboratory assignments, and midterm and final examinations. All students must take the final examination for this course at the published exam time. The grade range is a ten point scale as follows: A = 90—100% B = 80—89% C = 70—79% D = 60—69% F = Below 60%
What is course evaluation and grading?

This includes changing screensavers, wallpaper, applications, configurations, or any other settings unless you are instructed to do so. Do not install or remove any software unless directed to do so by the instructor.

This certification covers the implementation, maintenance, delivery, and security of cloud technologies and infrastructure.

What is the basic requirement of all students in the IT Specialist Technology program?

All students completing the IT Specialist Technology program must pass both parts this certification examination. MGCCC, or an approved testing facility, will administer both parts of the current certification examination. Students passing both parts of the exam will earn this certification.
What is A+ certification?

Students may have these in the classroom, but may not use the them for personal activities. Anyone touching these during a test will received a zero grade for that test.
What is the cell phone usage policy?

Any student violating this is subject to receive a failing grade for the course, and will be reported to the appropriate Dean. If a student is unclear about whether a particular situation may constitute a violation of this, the student should meet with the instructor to discuss the situation.
