How much do daily grades account for in your overall grade?

Turn them in as soon as you return to school

What is the policy for late work that is 1-2 days late?
Up to 75% of the original grade can be earned.

Can you drink from any cup in class? Why or why not?
No, only from a bottle or cup with a lid or cap to avoid spills.
Are you allowed to eat in class?
No
Exceptions: medical reason OR a candy/food reward from Ms. Ringer
What does being "on time" for class look like?
Getting there BEFORE the final bell
Following directions on the Welcome slide, getting out all supplies, and starting your Warm-Up
Staying in your assigned seat
Can you re-attempt an assignment for a better grade?
Yes*
*Most assignments I will let you retake/redo
It's YOUR job to let me know which assignment you want to retake and when. It has to be OUTSIDE of class time (Advisory, tutorials, WYN time)
Whose responsibility is make up work?
YOU, the STUDENT
Not the teacher!
Do NOT ask me "did y'all do anything while I was gone?" or "what did I miss?"

What is the exception for the food and gum policy?
Candy may be offered as a reward for excellent behavior.
Tell Ms. Ringer, ask to borrow a classroom laptop, or use paper copies of the assignment

Level 0 (no talking, no noise) if the teacher or someone else is talking

What grade can you make on late work that is more than 3 days late?
You can earn up to a 50, but you are not guaranteed a 50
Once a nine weeks is done and the report card is out, I cannot enter missing grades or late work
When does Ms. Ringer grade absent/late work?
ASAP (as soon as possible)
You can let me know if you've submitted something, but do not ask me everyday if I've graded it yet
