His fourth movement could easily be considered a "big ending," or finale, because it was heavily influenced by the work of Beethoven, which surprised a lot of composers and music critics.

Berlioz's Symphonie Fantastique has five (5)  movements instead of four (4).

 Berlioz also swapped the structure by making his second movement the dance-form movement and his third movement slow. In a typical symphony, the second movement is slow and the third movement is in dance-form.
