The reason why Crooks don't want Lennie to enter, because he isn't allowed in the bunk house. Crooks is isolated because he is black. The men don't want him in their rooms, don't eat with him, and do not socialize with him. Thus, Crooks feels his own rooms should be off limits to everyone else.

George killed Lennie because he felt he had no other choice. He could either attempt to kill him as humanely as possible or allow the other men to beat and hang him with an enormous amount of suffering.
