Who is Curley?
Curley is a boxer who likes to fight with bigger guys.
Why Carlson shoots candy's dog?
Carlson shoots Candy's dog because it is old, sick, and no longer able to work as a sheep dog. Carlson says the dog “ain't no good” to Candy, unable to see that the dog still has value as Candy's friend and companion.
Who is Crooks from the book?
Crooks is a lively, sharp-witted, black stable-hand, who takes his name from his crooked back.
Why did Lennie killed curley's wife?
Because of his inability to control his own strength and emotions.
Why Lennie took the dead mouse?
Because he likes to pet soft things but he doesn't know his own strength and he accidentally killed the dead mouse when he pet it too much.
What makes the boss suspicious of George and Lennie?
George does all the talking. He can't understand why George is even looking out for Lennie. George lies about why they left their last job and the boss is suspicious of the answer.
What is George and Lennie's dream?
George and Lennie dream of getting their own farm. George wants the independence that comes with owning his own land, and Lennie wants to have rabbits.
Why does Curley's wife go to crook's room when she is not wanted there?
Because she had been promised a better life before. She wanted to be in film. Her life with Curley was just to get away from the life she had. She is very lonely.
Why Lennie killed a puppy?
Because he was stroking it too hard?
Why does George tell Lennie to hide if he gets in trouble?
It's because he loves him so much and George takes care of Lennie and they are best friends.
Why does Curley like to fight bigger guys?
Because he is physically small and so is resentful of bigger men.
Why slims give Lennie a puppy?
Slim has agreed to give one of the pups to Lennie, and George thanks him for his kindness, insisting that Lennie is “dumb as hell,” but is neither crazy nor mean.
Why does crooks never wanted Lennie to come?
The reason why Crooks don't want Lennie to enter, because he isn't allowed in the bunk house. Crooks is isolated because he is black. The men don't want him in their rooms, don't eat with him, and do not socialize with him. Thus, Crooks feels his own rooms should be off limits to everyone else.
Why George killed Lennie at the back of his neck?
George killed Lennie because he felt he had no other choice. He could either attempt to kill him as humanely as possible or allow the other men to beat and hang him with an enormous amount of suffering.
Why does Lennie like to stroke soft things?
It's because of his Innocence.
why does George tell Lennie to stay away from Curley's wife?
After George and Lennie see Curley's wife for the first time, George tells Lennie to stay away from her because he thinks she will end up causing harm to them.
Why Lennie broke Curley's hand?
Curley apologizes to Slim for accusing him of being with his wife and the men mock him for his insecurity about her. Angry, Curley accuses Lennie of laughing at him and starts to punch him; Lennie panics but does not react until George shouts at him to fight back. Lennie grabs Curley's hand and crushes it.

Why George is angry with Lennie to be in crooks room?
because she threatened to have him killed.
Why did Curley's wife come to see Lennie?
Curley's wife came to see Lennie because she figured out that he crushed Curley's hand and wouldn't be afraid of Curley anymore-he was the most likely candidate for her advances at this time.
