TAMIU has a no tolerance for hazing (for any organizations). Not only that, but is a criminal defense.

Greek organizations have their members maintain a high gpa to be members. Not only that, but offer resources to help those raise their gpa.

Joining a Greek Organization is a domino effect. When you join, you learn and develop new skills that help foster you and apply for other organizations and jobs. Not only that, but it helps you manage your time and priorities.

Greek Organizations all have a philanthropy that they focus on. With that, they focus and advocate on theirs on a semester basis to bring awareness and funds for it. Not only that, but Greeks actively participate as a Greek Community and TAMIU community serving non profit organizations throughout Laredo.

Greek organization members are required to complete Risk Management training which highlights the risks and consequences if alcohol or drugs are given to their members/interested members. Legal actions are taken if they are underage.
