True or False: Windham School District (WSD) employees shall be allowed to bring locked boxes at all times containing books?
False, Windham School District (WSD) employees shall be allowed to bring locked boxes into the unit that contain secure assessment and test materials only. In the event that a locked box requires inspection, the box shall be opened and inspected in a secure location in the presence of the WSD employee and the warden or designee. The WSD employee will be permitted to handle the materials in a manner where they can be searched by TDCJ staff without viewing test questions.

How must medical devices be inspected?
Wheelchairs and other medical devices, such as walkers and prosthetics, shall be inspected. Staff shall search the individual’s wheelchair by visually examining and inspecting the integrity of any soft material to include the seat pad, arm pads, back rest, and handle grips for concealed contraband. Any removable parts of the wheelchair shall also be inspected.
