TopHat is a student engagement platform that professors use to provide lecture tools that track attendance, ask questions, feature interactive slides, and manage classroom discussions.
(BI1)A professor is trying to set up the Brightspace site for their course, but the official course site is not listed under the selected term. What could be the problem?
They could not be listed as the instructor on e-Campus. Would have to get the course name and section number to check on e-campus if they are the instructor listed. If not, then create a trouble ticket.

Go to the homepage of the course you want to import into
Click on the gear on the upper right hand corner
Select “Import/Export/Copy Components”
Make sure you are on "Copy Components from another Org Unit," then click "Search for offering"
Search for the course and select the desired course (the spelling has to be EXACTLY the same spelling as it appears).
Make sure “Copy Components from another Org unit” is selected, and click "Select Components"
Select the components you want to copy, click “continue”, then “Finish”

When they try to sign into TopHat, there’s an option that says “Merge with previous account” and then “Sign in with SSO’ - The user should be signed in with their information updated.
(GB1)How can you check if a student has been added to the Brightspace feed? What information should you know first?
Check if they are properly enrolled in e-Campus
Ask a TL or FT staff member to check the feed.
You will need their full name, e-Campus username, and URI ID #

Copy the meeting ID from Zoom
Go to the course
Click on the top right drop down labeled “More” and select “Zoom”
Click the top right drop down with the three dots, and select “Import”
Enter the meeting ID here and select “Import”

Before installing ExamSoft, double check:
A/C – Battery power indicator light
Computer is virus free and has all updates
Computer meets the minimum system requirements
Before taking an exam:
Check that your computer’s date and time are accurate.
Charge your laptop battery and bring your power cord.
Disable ALL antivirus software prior to launching a secure exam.
Close ALL Microsoft programs (Word, Outlook, Powerpoint, Access, etc).
disable the sleep/hibernate mode on your computer
Do NOT upgrade your OS right after it is released

a.Since there are so many transfer issues between Brightspace and e-Campus, the official answer is 1-2 times a day

No, because the new OS may not be compatible with ExamSoft - may not meet the system requirements

b. Make a ticket, need the course URL and other course information for the URI Engage program they are trying to join

When creating a new quiz, select Import -> Upload a File -> Import All -> Back to quiz settings -> Select which questions you’d like to add
