True or False - A student receiving 504 services for dyslexia just needs a quick REED meeting to move over to Special Education.
False - A full and individual evaluation is required for special education eligibility. The 504 committee can make the recommendation for an FIE, but can NOT automatically place a student into special education
True or False: The campus of enrollment is responsible for hosting the ARD if a change of placement/ campus is being considered?
True. To have the receiving campus host the meeting could be considered predetermination. Both campuses should be invited to the meeting.
Daily Double!!!!!!
Describe what the corrective action plan will look like if TEA pulls an ARD that is not Duly Constituted (includes all of the required members for the entire duration of the ARD)
TEA will make that campus identify all ARDs not duly constituted for the year, and Hold those ARDS again, in addition to the 24-25 Annual ARD. Additionally compensatory services will need to be considered and provided as appropriate.
