“Which fraternities do you guys hang out with the most?”

“We get to meet so many different people through being involved on campus! Are there any clubs or organizations you’re interested in joining outside of a sorority?” (could also add things from our philo week, or an example like our dunk tank with chi phi)

100

"Do you guys drink at your social events?"

“Our socials are really about getting to spend time together and making memories as a chapter. What kind of events are you hoping to experience in a sorority?”

100

“Do a lot of girls in Delta Zeta go to church?”

“We have girls with all kinds of different interests and backgrounds! Is there anything you’re hoping to get involved with on campus?”

100

“Did you vote in the last election?”

“I did get to experience my first election around college age! Speaking of firsts, what are you most excited about for your first year here?”

100

“Is being in a sorority expensive?”

“There are definitely financial responsibilities that come with joining a sorority, and you’ll get information about all of that during recruitment. What are you most excited about when it comes to joining a chapter?”

200

“I have a boyfriend coming to school here too. Do a lot of girls in Delta Zeta have boyfriends?”

“Aw, that’s so fun that you guys will both be here! Coming to college with someone you already know probably makes it a little less intimidating. Have you met any girls during recruitment that you’ve really clicked with so far?”

200

“I’m so excited for college because I can finally go out. Do you guys go out a lot together?”

“There are definitely so many ways we spend time together! Honestly, some of my favorite memories have just been random things with my sisters. What are you most excited about when it comes to college?”

200

“I’m really involved with my church back home and I’m hoping to find one here. Do you go to church anywhere in Wilmington?”

“It sounds like your community back home is really important to you! Have you found anything here at UNCW that you’re excited to get involved in?”

200

“My whole family is really political, so politics always comes up at home. Is your family like that too?”

“It sounds like your family is really close and talks about a lot together! Are you excited to be away at college, or is it going to be hard being away from home?”

200

“My parents are paying for my sorority, but they want to know exactly how much everything is going to cost. How much do you pay?”

“I totally understand why they’d want to know! You’ll get a breakdown of the financial information so you and your parents can look at everything together. Is your family excited about you going through recruitment?”

300

“Okay, important question: which frat has the cutest guys? My friends and I have been trying to figure out which ones we want to hang out with.”

“Haha, I feel like you’ll have to decide that one for yourself! But it sounds like you and your friends are excited to meet new people. Are you all going through recruitment together?”

300

“I went out last night and I'm literally so hungover. I barely remember anything. What's your favorite bar around here?”

"well I am not 21 but, Have you gotten to explore more of Wilmington yet? There are so many fun things to do around here and there are such good shops and coffee spots in Wilmington!"

300

“My faith is really important to me, and I want to make sure I join a sorority where the girls have similar values. Would you say most girls in Delta Zeta are religious?”

“I totally understand wanting to find people who share values that are important to you. One thing I really love about Delta Zeta is that our members come from different backgrounds but still have so much that brings us together. I know a lot go girls go to port city or kings college!" What qualities are most important to you in a sisterhood?”

300

“I saw a girl in Delta Zeta post something political on Instagram that I completely disagree with. Do a lot of girls in your chapter have the same views as her?”

“We definitely have a chapter full of girls with their own personalities and experiences. That's actually something I've loved about meeting so many people through Delta Zeta. Have you met anyone during recruitment who's really stood out to you?”

300

“My friend told me her sorority is super expensive. Is Delta Zeta cheaper than the other sororities?”

“I’m honestly not the best person to compare what other chapters cost, but you’ll get the financial information you need for each chapter. Are you and your friend going through recruitment together?”

400

“My friend told me your sorority has socials with [fraternity] all the time. Is that true? Because the guy I’m talking to is in that frat and that would honestly make me want DZ even more.”

"I understand your excitement but we do have events during our pnhilothrapy weeks and we sometimes d stabling with other fraternities. What are you most looking froward to for our philanthropic events?"

400

“My friend who's already in a sorority told me that some chapters are way more strict about drinking than others. Does Delta Zeta care if you drink or go out?”

“Every chapter definitely has expectations for its members, but what I really appreciate about Delta Zeta is how much we care about each other and represent our sisterhood. What kind of values are you hoping to find in a chapter?”

400

“I really want to join a sorority, but I'm paying for college myself and I'm worried I won't be able to afford it. Do you think it's even worth me continuing recruitment?”

“I can definitely understand why you'd want to know all of the costs before making such a big decision. Make sure you look at the official financial information so you can decide what's right for you. What made you want to go through recruitment in the first place?”

500

“Okay, I probably shouldn't say this, but I hooked up with a guy in [fraternity] last night and now he's literally not answering me. Do you know him? Is he like this with every girl?”

“Oh no, that definitely sounds like a stressful situation. I hope everything works out! But enough about him—how has recruitment been going for you so far? Have you been enjoying getting to meet everyone?”

500

“Okay, you can be honest with me. I heard Delta Zeta is one of the sororities that parties a lot. That's honestly what I'm looking for because I want to go out all the time in college. Is that true?”

“I think everyone’s college experience looks different, but what I love about Delta Zeta is how many different personalities and interests we have. I’ve made some of my favorite memories just being with my sisters. What are you hoping to find in a sisterhood?”

500

“Be honest, do you have to be rich to be in Delta Zeta? I've noticed some of the girls have really expensive clothes and cars, and I'm worried I wouldn't fit in because my family doesn't have that kind of money.”

“I would never want you to judge whether you'd fit in based on what someone is wearing or driving. One of my favorite things about getting to know everyone here is realizing how different all of our backgrounds and experiences are. What has made you feel like you belong somewhere during recruitment?”
