Why does Rene constantly seek the validation of others? He always wants to see people's reactions to things, but only specific things that he thinks that other people will like. He doesn't actually want to hear their opinions on the thing he's showing them, he just wants people to tell him that it's "normal" for him to like said thing. What caused this? Is it because of a lack of a stable father figure in his life? Did his mother not give him enough attention? Why is he like this? Why?
