These people left Jerusalem about 600 BC, built boats and traveled across the ocean. Some believed in God and followed a prophet while others split off and lived their own way. These peoples battled each other for centuries. 1Nephi and 2Nephi

These people were taught the Gospel by the Sons of Mosiah. so great was their conversion that they buried their weapons of war and made a covenant never to harm another again. The Lamanite armies came to attack them and killed many but they did not fight back. Seeing this many of the Lamanites also repented and joined these people. Alma 23

These people were Nephites who had believed and followed a wicked leader named Amlici (Amlicites) but stayed in Zarahemla when Amlici and his followers were driven out of the land. They wanted a King to rule over them and caused a vote among the Nephites. Most of the Nephites voted to be free men instead. Angry art this, these people tried to help the Lamanites defeat the Nephites. Alma 51

This place was the capital city of Nephite lands during the reign of the Judges, Pahoran lived here. Alma 5
What is Zarahemla
In this story, a Lamanite who preaches about the signs of the coming of Jesus Christ to the people from a high wall. Those who did not believe threw stones and shot arrows but could not hit him which caused more to believe his words. Helaman 13, 14, 16
Who is Samuel the Lamanite
This prophet was burned alive but not before he converted one of of King Noah's chief priests who heard his powerful testimony and became a leader of the Church. Mosiah 12, 13, 17
Who is Abinadi
This Lamanite leader fought against the Nephites and wanted them to be his slaves. He was scalped in battle against Captain Moroni's army. Alma 43
Who is Zerahemnah
These people left Babel about 2200 BC. They traveled in boats across the ocean taking 344 days driven only by the wind. The record of this people was translated by King Mosiah (Nephite King) using the Urim and Thummim (Interpreters). Coriantumr was their last King and he was killed in battle. Ether was the last of these people and witness to their destruction. Ether 1-15
Who are the Jaredites
This place was the setting of the final battles between the Nephites and Lamanites. Mormon hid the sacred record (plates) in this place. Mormon 6

This wicked priest of King Noah was made ruler over Alma's people. He made them work very hard and threatened to kill anyone caught praying. Mosiah 24
Who is Amulon
This people lived in caves and created havoc for the Nephites and Lamanites. Throughout time their leaders were Kishkumen, Gadianton and Giddianhi. At times this group was thought to be gone from the land but when wickedness increased among the Nephites and Lamanites these old ways return and these people nearly destroyed the Nephites and Lamannites.
