Harry Ron and Hermione are all in Gryffindor because they all want to be there and posses the fitting attributes and skills to be there. However following Dumbledore telling Harry that it is our choices not abilities that set us apart from what we truly are, we may notice that the trio might be more suited for other houses other than Gryffindor if one were to go off of based on simply abilities and attributes.
