Lowlands are along our big rivers :  the Vltava, our longest river, which flows through the capital city Prague, the Labe - an important international river, also called the Elbe, and two rivers in South Moravia: the Dyje and the Morava. The largest lake is Black Lake in the Šumava Mts., the largest pond is Rožmberk. There are also many dam-lakes built all over the country, for example Lipno, Vranov, Orlík, Slapy, Šance, Žermanice. They protect our country from floods.
