Mountain got angry with sun and also was jealous of Sun. The story says that Mountain wanted to be like Sun and wanted hot, yellow flames and not to be covered with snow.

Mountain is jealous and angry at the beginning of the story, of Sun. But after Mountain is startled when it blows its top and lava flows, it feels only envious once in a while at the end of the story.

I dont think it will, because on page 16, it says, "Once in a while, Mountain looks at the Sun with envy. It makes the ground shake a little, but then it calms down."
