He is the enemy of all righteousness and of those who seek to follow God
He sought to destroy agency of man and take God's power
Who is Eve? (See Moses 4)
She is the first woman created by God, she is known to be the "mother of all living"
What is conception (or sorrow/pain in conception/childbirth)? (See Genesis 3 or Moses 4)
a consequence of the Fall of Adam and Eve, representing the entry into a mortal, fallen world.
Who is Jesus Christ?
Jesus Christ is the Savior of the world and the Son of Heavenly Father.
Jesus suffered and was crucified for the sins of the world, giving each of God’s children the gift of repentance and forgiveness.
What is the tree of knowledge of good and evil? (see Moses 3)
A tree that was planted by god that he forbade anybody from partaking the fruit that if eaten they would die
What is good and evil? (See Genesis 3; 2 Nephi 2)
Good:Comes from God and it leads to joy, progression, and eternal life
Evil:Comes from Satan and involves deception, sin, pride, and selfishness, etc.
Who is Adam? (See Moses 3)
Is the first created man by God and is "father of all living"
He is a central figure in the plan of salvation
How did Adam and Eve feel about the fall? (See Moses 5)
They viewed the Fall not as a tragedy, but as a necessary, courageous step to fulfill God's plan
What are the blessings Adam and Eve received after the Fall?
The ability to have children, experience joy, gain physical bodies, and exercise agency to choose between good and evil
What is innocence (or the state of innocence)? (See Moses 4; 2 Nephi 2)
A state of being free from guilt, wrongdoing, and sin
What is beguiled (or deceived)? (See Moses 4)
To lead astray, Manipulate, or lie
What is seed symbolized for? (See Moses 5)
Seed symbolizes children, descendants, offspring, or posterity
What was the "shame" of nakedness? (See Moses 4 or Genesis 3)
a loss of innocence and a state of being uncovered or unprotected before God due to sin
What is Liberty and Eternal Life?
liberty is the freedom to act for oneself and choose righteous paths through Christ’s mediation, while eternal life (or exaltation) is inheriting the highest degree of the celestial kingdom, becoming like God, and living in His presence with families
What is the tree of life (or the way of the tree of life)? (See Genesis 3; Moses 4)
The tree of life symbolizes eternal life and immortality
A straight and narrow path also known as the Iron Rod that represents the word of God
What is God's glory (or thine own glory)? (See Moses 4; Moses 1)
God's greatest glory is in helping others to progress to become like him, and receiving immortality and eternal life
What is joy (or that men might have joy)? (Moses 5; 2 Nephi 2)
Joy is central to God's plan (known as the plan of salvation or the plan of happiness)
Its is a feeling of happiness, peace, and fulfillment that comes from God's plan
What is physical death? (See Moses 6)
the temporary separation of the spirit from the mortal body
What is the plan of salvation/happiness?
Heavenly Father’s plan to enable His children to become like Him, gain immortality, and receive eternal life
What would happen if the fall of Adam and Eve did not happen?
Adam and Eve would remain in the Garden of Eden forever with no children and without knowing joy or misery
What is agency (or free agency) and why is the ability to choose essential for eternal progression? (See Moses 4; 2 Nephi 2)
Agency is the freedom to choose or make our own choices
The ability to choose is essential because we can act upon accountability and responsibility for our actions which is essential to the plan of salvation
What is Naked? (See Moses 4 or Genesis 3)
In a state of being uncovered, or exposed
What is Spiritual Death? (See Moses 6)
Spiritual death is a separation from God
why was the Fall important to God’s plan?
It enabled humanity to come to earth, gain physical bodies, experience moral agency, and progress toward eternal life
