What were some of the things within The Indian Act that affected Indigenous peoples? (Choose 3)

  1. denied women status;
  2. introduced residential schools;

  5. restricted First Nations from leaving the reserve without permission from an Indian Agent;

  19. denied First Nations the right to vote;
  20. created the permit system to control First Nations' ability to sell products from farms;
  21. is a piece of legislation created under British rule for the purpose of subjugating one race - Indigenous people.
