This an expectation that you are showing up to class on time every day, and asking for help when you need it, never giving up on your learning.

A philosophy that all students should be taking AP courses to prepare for college. All students take AP literature and AP composition after proving they are ready to move on past advanced lit/comp.

Who is Virginia Andrews?

You try to never do this by going straight to your next class without stopping to chat, but if it happens, you walk in quietly, sit in the first available seat, get your notebook and pencil out and try to figure out what the teacher is explaining. You wait until an appropriate time to ask questions.
What do you do when you are late to a class?

You need 1.5 years of this to graduate high school. You can take a class for it, participate in a sport, or complete independent study.
What is fitness (P.E.) credit

You cannot leave in the first 10 minutes, or the last 10 minutes, and you can only be out of the room one person at a time.
What is the hall pass policy?

A philosophy that you must demonstrate that you met an outcome for a grade. You do formative work to practice the skill, but only summative work is graded.
What is outcomes based grading (Global's grading policy)?

You should spend more time on the formative work as homework, go to the homework help center in the library after school, or make plans to work with your teacher after class. You take care of it right away and don't wait for a summative.
What do you do when you are not understanding the formative work happening in class?

credit you do not need to graduate, but you need 2 consecutive years to go to university. You can also sign up to take a test in November to receive 1-4 of these credits if you already speak, read, write, and listen in another language.
What is world language credit?

You have the opportunity to reassess any outcome after you get the summative back within a 2 week window.
What is the reassessment policy?

Philosophy that many high schools are too large and should be reorganized into smaller, autonomous schools of no more than 400 students for the purpose of increasing student achievement. Student attendance improves, graduation rates rise, and college going rates increase.
