How does the way the molecules that make up water are built help the reason why water is the universal solvent. (How does the structure of the water molecules help it be the universal solvent.)

The two hydrogen atoms are both at the top making the molecule structure look like a mickey mouse. Since both atoms are on the stop the bottom is empty. This makes the molecule like a battery with a negative and positive poles. This helps dissolve the solute.
