The Capitol people are RICH-- with luxurious lives, plenty of food and nothing to want for. The districts-- especially those FAR from the Capitol-- are poor, struggling, starving, and sacrificing their kids annually FOR the "entertainment" of the rich. 😠😡

The girl is called an Avox. She has lost her tongue (LITERALLY) because she was deemed a traitor to The Capitol. She now silently serves in The Capitol as punishment.

They need to survive until the end, aka outwit, outlive, and outlast all other tributes...even if that means killing them. 💔😖 The winning tribute gets a shiny new home and gets to become a mentor to EVERY tribute thereafter...as in they NEVER get to leave the Games behind. 😿
