Who is Hassan?
Hassan is the son of Baba and the brother of Amir. Hassan is a Hazara who believes his father is Ali, but was actually Baba's son. Later on he has a son and Hassan is murdered brutally by the Taliban.
Who is Baba?
Baba is a powerful man who is described to be tall, strong, and a respected man because of the places he built and the acts he has done for the community. He is the father of Hassan and Amir, creating a divide in his good and bad deeds.
Who is Amir?
The son of Baba and Baba's wife. Amir is the main character of the story and creates conflict within the reader with his actions and decisions.
Who was Rahim?
Rahim was a man who was very close to Amir, Baba, and Hassan, he was very respectable and an advisor.

The bully of Amir and Hassan which haunted them throughout the book.

Amir gets beaten by his bully, Assef for Sohrab. Endures the insults about his past life and shame about him having a more privileged life. Rescues and adopts Sohrab, his nephew, from being possibly tortured, assaulted, and murdered.
Why doesn't Rahim want to be found at the end of the book?
So that Amir wouldn't go against his final wishes and so he could die in peace.
What does Sohrab do at the end of the book that saved Amir?
Sohrab shot a ball from his slingshot at Assef's eye to stop him from killing Amir. The ball got lodged in his eye.
