A cold, clammy room. There were chains hanging from the filthy walls. Water dripped from the ceiling, making puddles on the stone floor. It was the creepiest place Jack had ever seen.

Jack used the book to find out that there was a trap door. He located the trapdoor by counting five stones. Jack and Annie moved a stone and found the trapdoor. They opened the trapdoor and found a ladder. At the end of the ladder was a tunnel. They ran through the tunnel to a small wooden door. The door opened onto the precipice.
