What is a Cafeteria Plan Section 125 POP document and who can create it?

a. A cafeteria plan allows employees to pay for certain benefits on a pretax basis through
payroll deduction. This will only apply to clients that will maintain a Client Sponsored
Plan (CSP) outside of Insperity. For example, the client elected Revolution or Liberty
package, and the client will maintain dental and/or vision outside of Insperity.
b. Typically the client’s broker will create a Section 125 plan document. If this is not an
option, we can refer clients to Higginbotham a third-party administrator who can assist
for a fee.
c. With an approved section 125 cafeteria plan the following benefits ONLY may be pre-tax
i. Medical, Dental, Vision, Health Flexible Spending Account, Health Savings
Account, Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account.

What is the process for requesting a revised Schedule B before first payroll has processed?

a. Examples that would require a revision are changes to the benefit package, employer
contributions strategy or adding/removing classing
b. Submit the request and required documentation via Premier Pathway
i. Choose the task based on the required change, e.g., “classing”

The end-to-end timeline for Insperity 401(k) Plan implementation process clock begins at the time the client is designated CLOSED/WON and the sale is handed off to Retirement Services by BPS Sales, and it runs through the day employees can see the Insperity 401(k) link on Premier. Can take as few as 11 calendar days.
