No. He also just misses his father. Although he does want him back to get rid of the suitors, he also has other reasons. Tele wants his mother to be happy, and to learn how to be a ruler from the king himself.

The suitors were wrong to stay in Odysseus's home. They stayed far too long, when they were only to stay when needed, not for luxury. Secondly, they were forceful with Penelope in making her decision of what to do with her life. The suitors weren't allowed to make her and her son uncomfortable in their own home. Not to mention they overused their food, and spoke poorly of the master of the house, Odysseus, even if they weren't sure if Odysseus was alive or dead.
