What's a natural resource?
A natural resource is any material that is from Earth.
Such as trees, oil, or metals to name a few.
Environment is the surroundings in an area. Name some things that make up an environment.
Examples should include different plants, animals, temperatures, or land structures
How many climate zones do we have?
We have a total of 5 main climate zones.
Weather is short term changes in an environment. Write a sentence that shows a statement of weather.
"Today is sunny, tomorrow is rainy."
"I heard it is going to be really windy at recess"
"You better bring your coat, it is going to snow all day"

Non renewable energy sources all have what bad negative consequence in common?
While we do need them, they all pollute our air/water/environment

What is the definition of permafrost and what climate do you experience permafrost land?
Permafrost means that the ground remains frozen all the time. You would find permafrost land in a polar climate

Bonus: This relationship between hot and cold air causes what?
Hot air goes up and cold air goes down. This relationship causes wind! Oklahoma has tons of wind so what does that mean about our air?
Our earth rotates every day, how does it take?
This rotation causes the sun to ________ and __________.
It takes our earth 24 hours to rotate. This causes the sun to rise and set everyday.
What makes a natural resource renewable?
We can replace the resources, somewhat quickly, after we have used it. From days to years they are back.
We know that life adapts to it's surroundings, but give an example of an animal/plant that could not adapt to its surrounding.

What's the difference between temperate and the rest of the climates?
Temperate experiences all 4 seasons in one year routinely. The other climates typically experience only certain seasons throughout the year.

What are the two types of water on earth? With one do we have more of on our planet?
Salt and fresh water! Both can be good but over 97% of all water is salt water. Too bad we can't drink this water:(
There are three renewable energy resources, what are they? Which one do you see the most in Oklahoma?
Three kinds are solar, wind and water. But in Oklahoma we see wind energy the most, although some homes do have solar energy on their roofs.

We know that climate means long term weather. But what causes some climates to be hotter and others to be colder?
Our sun places a huge role in climate. If we are tilted towards the sun or along the equator, generally the climate will be hotter more days of the year.

Their are many good things about water! Here are a few: It is great for our body, we need it to function
