Europeans took power over this land 400 years ago and forced out most of the Wabanaki. Since then, white men have had power over this land.
How did European weapons end up in Africa during the time of the slave trade?
People in Africa who were a part of the slave trade traded enslaved people for European weapons so they could capture more people and make more money. They also used European weapons to make sure that other slave catchers could not steal their slaves from them.
