Chapter Operations
The purpose of this is to clarify the procedures that enable the membership of Xi Zeta Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. (the “Chapter”) to execute the regulations contained in the Chapter Bylaws, the Alpha Kappa Alpha Constitution and Bylaws, the Alpha Kappa Alpha Manual of Standard Procedures and Alpha Kappa Alpha Standing Rules
Manual of Chapter Procedures
A quorum of this is considered of the total membership in order to conduct official business
One-fourth (Bylaws)
Chapter meetings shall begin promptly at 1:00pm, unless
Changed by the Basileus (SR)
This committee prepares the slate of nominees
The Nominating Committee (MSOP and Bylaws)
Number/quantity of officers that must be delegates

All regularly scheduled Chapter meetings, Executive, Standing and Ad-Hoc Committee meetings shall be noted here

During elections and other votes, they shall assist in the passing out and collection of ballots.

Discussion from the floor shall be limited to this amount of time per member
Two minutes (SR)
No monies will be disbursed to any committee until this is submitted
This publication should not be used for personal use, gain or other
Chapter Directory (Bylaws and MSOP)
Active participation is defined by these
Sorority and Chapter Bylaws (SR)
A member is not allowed to speak until
They are recognized by the Basileus (SR)
These may be amended at a regular meeting by two-thirds of the votes cast with provisions

All of these shall be submitted to the Tamiouchos and Auditing Chairman
To ensure uninterrupted service, dues must be received to the Corporate office by this deadline

All committee chairmen, with the exception of this committee, shall present their budget requests for the upcoming year to the Finance Committee chairman
Program Committee (MSOP)
Only after receiving notification shall this committee extend courtesies to members
Social and Welfare (Bylaws and MSOP)
All Standing Committees should meet by this date of each year and prepare a list of meeting dates for the year

Committee members that wish to raise issues before the Executive Committee should submit them to the Basileus when

To be eligible to vote at any Chapter meeting a member must have paid these dues and all assessments

Chapter Directory will be updated quarterly after publication by this officer
The Anti-Grammateus (SR)
As part of the regular maintenance, the Chapter website shall be updated in these months
Annual Reports of current officers and committee chairman shall be prepared in writing and presented here
At the December meeting prior to installation of officers (SR)
Any significant changes to these after they have been presented, must be reviewed by this committee and possibly submitted to the chapter membership for approval
