What is the right to a clean and comfortable home?
MidWay believes in helping you to become an independent young adult. When you leave MidWay, we want you to be able to fully meet your needs. You will be expected to continuously grow in your ability to care for yourself during your stay at MidWay.
What is self-reliance?
In order to ensure your safety, you will be given a ______ that is determined by your age, adherence to program values, and your ability to make safe choices.
What is a curfew?
Keeping this area clean throughout the day is everyone’s responsibility. Cleaning up after yourself helps keep others healthy and safe and prevents bugs.
What is the kitchen?
Your rent is due each month on the date agreed upon in your rental agreement. While we do not expect you to pay rent if you are not working or have a form of income, you will be expected to pay something once you have some financial support. How much is the MidWay rent if you pay it yourself?

MidWay staff may encourage you to talk through your feelings or speak with a therapist about a situation that makes you feel uncomfortable. What rights does this protect? (There are two!)
What is the right to feel physically and emotionally safe, and the right to be physically and emotionally healthy?

What is responsibility?
Candles and incense may not be used inside the house. Smoking inside of the house is against our licensing regulation and is not permitted, including e-cigarettes. Why?
What is because they are a fire risk?
You are encouraged to get to know each of your housemates and we hope that you find friends inside of the house. Maintaining appropriate boundaries with your housemates is one way to minimize conflict within the house. Because of this, these kinds of relationships are not permitted between housemates. Staff will help you set your own personal boundaries and help you to understand the boundaries of others.

MidWay believes that helping others is a way to also help your own self. MidWay is a welcoming community that promotes being kind to others, expressing appreciation, and volunteering in our community.

When you leave or enter the house, stop into the office and let the program know your plans. This allows the staff to know who is in the building in case there is an _______.

What is my bedroom? (You may spend time socializing with your housemates, friends, and visitors in the living room, dining room, and kitchen areas. Other housemates are not to enter your bedroom. By not allowing others in your room, you are minimizing the risk of missing items and misunderstandings.)
