2) Rebellion is crushed but it takes lots of effort/loss of life (60,000 soldiers deployed)

Briefly explain why suppression of Lenin's Testament is such an important part of the Rise of Stalin.

This testament called for the removal of Stalin from his position of General Secretary, which was Stalin's main tool of manipulation. He could quietly build support and erode the support of his opponents by being selective of members and their posts.

The economy of the country is socialist meaning that means of production (industries, utilities, transportation) are socially and collectively owned by a democratically elected government.
