Temple and Zion
These sacred structures are commanded because they allow the Saints to be endowed with heavenly power.
What are Temples
In D&C 97:8, the Lord promises to bless those who do this with their whole soul
What is keep their covenants / do what He commands?
In D&C 95:1, the Lord reminds the Saints that those He loves, He will do this to.
What is chasten
In D&C 94, the Lord commanded the Saints to make sure all buildings for the Church were built with this quality.
What is Holiness
(according to a pattern revealed by god)
According to D&C 97:21, this is Zion.

The Lord promised that Zion would prosper if the Saints did this with all their might.

In D&C 97, the Lord says that those who keep their covenants will receive this spiritual protection.

The purpose of the Lord’s chastening is not punishment alone, but to help His people become this.

The Lord warned that if His people did not keep His commandments and build His house, He would do this to them.
