Maybe. Have they advised the order is for resale and they've provided a certificate? If not, this is taxable as this may be for Leidos' personal use.
What threads do you cc the alias on when an order is being booked?
1. The soft copies
2. The PO to the disti/vendor
3. Add orders onto email chain with the customer upon receipt of the PO
A customer sent a blanket resale certificate. What do you do with it?
Either you can log into Avalara and upload it into the customer's profile (this is hard as you have to select all the states), or send it to Grace and cc tax@tvarsolutions.com
*If the resale certificate is for one specific PO, we do not put this in Avalara but make sure it's in the package/soft copies.

What is the difference between a direct pay certificate and a resale certificate?
Direct Pay - The customer will pay their own sales tax, they are liable. TVAR is not.
Resale - The customer is reselling the products, whoever the actual end customer for the product is may or may not be taxable/liable. TVAR is not.
