When reviewing for a test, a student claims they don't know the answer and refuse to try to engage in the question. The TLAC strategy appropriate in this situation (is a form of encouragement towards the student).

As students enter your classroom, they are noisy and disorganized. The strategy to establish a positive environment, setting clear expectations for behavior upon entering the room and consistently reinforcing them to begin the class on a positive note.

The place teachers message for urgent/time sensitive school-wide announcements or questions.
What is Microsoft Teams?
The time that daily attendance must be submitted for both HR and 1st Period for accurate state reporting and parent calls.

The lesson plan component that outlines which activities will be implemented for the I Do, We Do, and You Do portions of Gradual Release of Responsibility. Includes time stamps and is entered in EduPlanet for each day.
What is the Agenda?
During group work, a student starts chatting off-topic and not engaging in the lesson. The teacher redirects the student with a reminder of the task, emphasizing the need to stay focused.
What is Warm/Strict?

The lesson plan component that serves as the intellectual prep for teachers to think through the conceptual understanding students must demonstrate. Includes exemplar students responses, anticipated misconceptions, back pocket questions, teacher moves, and should live on your clipboard while teaching.
What is the Teacher Exemplar?
During a group activity, some students finish quickly while others struggle to keep up. Employ this technique to address this imbalance: the TLAC strategy of checking in with each group, providing additional challenges to those who finish early and offering support to struggling groups.
