Tran is a 14-year-old student who is entering 9th grade. Tran was raised in SF, but recently their family was forced to relocate to Antioch. Tran has a long commute to school and does badly in class because they do not speak English very well, and bilingual programs have been cut. When they go to class, they sit through each period not understanding what is going on. Tran has also been questioning their gender identity and sexuality, but is worried that if their family finds out they may kick them out of the house.
