Main Idea- You could be reading a nonfiction text about playground equiptment.
Theme- Could be reading a fictional story that has an event with hot playground equiptment.
How can you tell what an author is trying to do? Be specific.
Inform- The author gives facts about a topic.
Entertain- The author is not giving facts about a topic, the author is making your laugh and enjoy the book.
Persuade- The author is telling you why you should do something.
There was a little girl in the woods and she found a cabin. She then went into the cabin. Goldy Locks helped herself to the bears home.
