What is arts & crafts?

Arts and crafts at summer camp is a hands-on activity where campers make things with their own hands. It can include a variety of activities, such as:

painting, drawing, printmaking, sculpture, comics, mixed-media projects, clay, and bracelet making.

Some summer camps offer thematic camps for different age groups. To ensure that all students enjoy at least some of the activities, some recommend trying as many mediums and subject matters as possible.

Summer camp can also include other activities, such as:

Archery, Canoeing, Sailing, Fire building, Campfire, Hiking, Horseback riding, and Scavenger hunts.

In addition to having fun, summer camp can teach kids important skills like resilience, independence, and problem-solving.
