This group of people were the first to come to Plymouth, Massachusetts near cape cod seeking religious freedom.
What are Pilgrims or Separatists
This colonial region, was known as the “Breadbasket Colonies”, being known for growing wheat, oats, corn, and grain. They were also known for being religiously and culturally diverse with a variety of occupations.

This type of farming was used to grow crops for family use not mass production or profit
