What is the difference between a consequence and a reward?
A consequence is a result of your action and can be positive or negative. A reward is given and it is always positive.

Give yourself space, take deep breaths, jump, punch the pillow, etc.

Angry, upset, frustrated, etc.

You just got home from grocery shopping. You try to bring in all 20 bags at the same time because you don't feel like making more than one trip from the car. Is there a reward? Is there a consequence? And which is more important to you?
Reward: You only have to make on trip.
Consequence: The bags could break causing something to break or your arms could hurt from bringing in all the bags at once.

You don't turn the TV off when you're asked to, but your parents don't know becouse they went to the yard. Is there a reward? What? Is there a consequence? What? Which is more important?
Reward: You get to keep watching the show you like.
Consequences: You are going to be grounded, your parents may get frustrated and angry; etc
