Confused, frustrated, upset, etc.

That I should have studies more; that I can do better next time; etc.

What is the difference between a consequence and a reward?
A consequence is a result of your action and can be positive or negative. A reward is given and it is always positive.

Give yourself space, take deep breaths, etc.

Angry, upset, frustrated, etc.

You just got home from grocery shopping. You try to bring in all 20 bags at the same time because you don't feel like making more than one trip from the car. Is there a reward? Is there a consequence? And which is more important to you?
Reward: You only have to make on trip.
Consequence: The bags could break causing something to break or your arms could hurt from bringing in all the bags at once.

How are behaviors different during class time and during recess?
In class I am more controlled, I raise my hand, I sit in my seat; at recess, I play with others, run around, etc.
You have $25 for groceries. You decide to buy a new DVD instead. Is there a reward? What? Is there a consequence? What? Which is more important?
Reward: You get to watch a new movie.
Consequences: You are going to be hungry because you didn't buy food.
