What is a reference?
A formal, typed document that has information about you that is relevant to getting a job

Social skills, non-verbal body language (uncrossed arms, eye contact, etc.), tone of voice, actively listening are all important skills for this category of soft skills
What is communication?
A casual social media platform (you may post photos of family/friends/pets here)
What is Facebook? (or twitter, Instagram)
Meeting with/speaking with a potential employer to determine how your skills and abilities match up with a potential job opportunity (During this process, you want to display appropriate and professional behavior)

The process of discussing one's disability with others...or intentionally releasing personal information about yourself for a specific reason
What is disclosure?
Creating a plan for how you spend your money...This allows you to know if you will have enough money for the things you need and want to do
What is a budget?
A building where people can exercise/move their bodies and be active

Thinking through problems, making decisions, asking for help when needed
What is problem-solving/critical thinking ?
Keeping your profile private, keeping your work and personal lives separate, not friending your boss/supervisor/co-workers on the first day of work ..
What are boundaries? (with social media)
Refers to how well a person is suited for a certain position... A good match (compatibility) between person factors, work environment, and job requirements
What is job fit?
Speaking up for yourself, making your own decisions, having the ability to make choices, knowing your rights and responsibilities ...
What is self-advocacy?
Something we do not use, or have on, during an industry tour (or in any professional setting).
What is a cell phone?
Not using your phone at work, being appropriate (during conversations, when giving compliments, etc.), focusing on your work when you are at work, offering to help co-workers, appropriate clothing
What is professionalism?
Making connections with others in the area you want to work in through the internet and other social media platforms
What is social-networking?
Any strategy that gets rid of, or lessens the effect of a specific barrier / challenge
