A "W" stands for "Withdrawal," and this will affect a F-1 student's visa.

What is a registration HOLD?
This prevents you from registering in any classes, due to outstanding fees, ISP concerns, and disciplinary problems.

A Student Educational Plan. Each student is required to have a completed SEP by the end of your first semester.

When your GPA is below 2.0 for 3 semesters, and you must SIT OUT one semester, which is a PROBLEM for F-1 students.

You must read the instructor's orientation letter on the Distance Learning webpage. Online courses are through Blackboard.

What is a course syllabus?
It is your instructor's course contract given on the first day, specifying assignments, tests, grade breakdown and office hours.

What services are offered in the Health Center?
Among the services are: visits with a Nurse Practitioner/Medical Doctor, mental health counseling, non-prescription medications, first aid, birth control, HIV testing. Most are free or low-cost for students.
