We get badges monthly; Wear them at your collar; turn them in monthly (or quarterly). A report is generated. Jeff reviews reports and signs off on them. Reports are uploaded to Teams. If a badge reports a level 1 or level 2 reading, Jeff reviews reading and sends you a letter.
What is the radiation badge monitoring process?
Mass Casualty; An incident has happened in the community where we are expecting many patients at one time. a leader or tech presents to the command center to get info and bring it back to department. Must not leave campus, unless all clear is given. May need to assist in other roles
What is a code green?
Must include: Medication name, Strength, Quantity, Diluent, Volume, Expiration date (when not used w/in 24 hours), Expiration time (when expiration occurs in less than 24 hours)

Who can shut off the medical gas valves?
Bomb Threat; Keep the perpetrator on the phone. Call security. Appeal to their empathy by stating this is a children's hospital with sick children.
What is a code Yellow?
When the story board, conversation or a request from parents indicate the patient speaks any other language besides English, we must offer interpretation services. We can use in-house or phone/video interpretation services. When used we document name and/or number of interpreter in EPIC. If interpretation services are not wanted, we must mark refused in EPIC.
When and how do we document interpretation documentation?
1.Wash the area with soap and water, 2. Cleanse skin with alcohol. Do not squeeze area, 3. Call 5-7777, 4. Report to leader, 5. Wash eye out for 15 mins at eye wash station
