This Team Member always goes to a local tree farm to cut their own tree down- over the years this has evolved into somewhat of a game to find the most inexpensive tree...... the way it looks is not important!

The year when this team member's uncle announced he was divorcing their aunt and had a new girlfriend younger than his kids….but still hosted Christmas together ….with their children very unhappy and the soon to be ex wife sitting at the kids table next to him…..all the while he was bragging about what a great job his new girlfriend did redecorating the new house!  Today the ex and the kids are really good friends with the girlfriend and like her better than him!

On Christmas Eve they have a nice dinner with family, watch a Christmas movie and stay up until midnight to open gifts!

Stopped putting the names of their kids on the packages because they would figure out what gifts they received- it became somewhat a game - but one year they forgot what gift was for who and the wrong child ended up opening the presents!

This past Christmas this team member's father in law decide to share a story from his childhood (which they had heard before) about how his older siblings would trick him into thinking Santa was on their roof at night (making sounds) in order to keep him believing that Santa was real.   The kicker is that he was sharing this story with the entire family- including his grandkids.....some of which still believed!  Disaster was averted (they think) as the kids were removed from the room partway through the story

This team member's family gets matching christmas pjs and wearing them on christmas eve.  Then on christmas eve- they open the more "personal" presents that night so more time is taken (kids exchange between kids)

This team member's  father loved their live Christmas tree so much that they decided to try to preserve the tree for the following year (this is possible apparently) but this was in Florida- so by July- there was a skeleton of a tree on the front driveway for all the world to see!

This Team Member drove an hour away and forgot all of the gifts for the grandkids and was so distraught that their child drove all the way to her house (without her knowing) to get them….just to make her feel better!  Funny thing is that she didn't notice he was gone!

On Christmas Eve after dinner- the adults in this team member's family become elves wrapping gifts and then early in the morning while eating Christmas breakfast they are unwrapped

When this team member was 5 they and their siblings tried to climb their Christmas tree on Christmas eve….which toppled over- they had to wear the Christmas ornaments on our clothes on Christmas day as punishment
