Simple sentences only focus on one subject or verb, and do not have a coordinate conjunction or subordinate conjunction separating two independent clauses (simple sentences).

I have a hard time writing these. The major reason is that I wait until the last minute to do so. I wish this weren't the case, but I am a major procrastinator. I want this to be challenging and difficult. I really want it to make you think. I think it might be too easy though because I use the word I too much. According to the following paragraph, what is "seeds" closest in meaning to?

And, What is the clue that supports your answer?

----------------------------------------------------------

The history of sci-fi cinema is littered with the question of whether an AI can feel emotion, particularly love; what that might truly mean for the humans whom they love; and whether contained within that love might be the seeds of human destruction. The 1982 sci-fi classic Blade Runner, for instance, toys with the example of emotion in artificial “replicants,” some of whom may not even realize they’re not actually human. Love is a constant concern through Ridley Scott’s film; one of the more memorable tracks on its Vangelis soundtrack is the “Love Theme,” and it’s not accidental that one of the main characters in the 2017 sequel Blade Runner: 2049 is a replicant named Luv.

- cause

 - related to "human destruction". Planted seeds do not destroy humans.

What do the that, they, and it refer to:

I was at a lunch with some girlfriends when the subject came up – someone had read an essay that had gone viral last month, on the website Insider, by a woman who refused to share a bed with her beloved. Luana Ribiera, 40, from south Wales, believes that all couples should sleep in separate bedrooms ‘to make sure they are well rested’, as the alternative can lead to ‘crabbiness and less patience with your partner’. Far from dousing the embers of their passion, the arrangement has even produced a baby, who they take it in turns to deal with in the night. “We are almost always well rested,” wrote Ribiera. “This seems simple, but I know from experience and from friends that this not always the case when sharing a bedroom.”
